Safaris in Zambia

Land of the legendary African walking safari, earth's biggest waterfall, the wild Zambezi River, breath-taking lakes and wetlands, a profusion of birds, abundant wildlife, and raw, pulsating wilderness, all in one friendly country. Acknowledged as one of the safest countries in the world to visit, Zambia's people live in peace and harmony. The Wildlife is superb and some of the finest safaris on offer are available from zambia's fine lodges and safari companies.

The Kafue National Park offers the opportunity to get away from everything and will help you to feel like you are in the Africa of old. Excellent game, birding and fishing are particular features of the area whilst accommodation on offer is authentic "Out of Africa"-style.

The equally remote, seasonal and very beautiful South Luangwa National Park to the north east of the country is proving to be a very popular destination for the true safari lover. Accommodation in lodges, camps and bush camps ranges from luxurious to the practical, whilst the safari experience with its walking safaris and quality of game is hard to beat anywhere.

To the south west of the country on the northern bank of the Zambezi near Victoria Falls is Tongabezi. Not only is this one of the most romantic and relaxing camps in Africa, but it can also be the start of a wonderful Zambezi River safari that will have you experiencing the river in many of its different forms. Direct access from Europe and South Africa into Zambia's capital Lusaka makes Zambia a real alternative to many traditional safari destinations and we at Pulse Africa highly recommend this as a destination. Combines well with Malawi.
